This time I wasn't....but it could be carry over from a previous prayer. Ha ha...

I'm learning that this seems to be one of God's preferred ways of teaching: Ask for patience-situations occur that offer you opportunity to be patient and wait on God's perfect timing; Ask for Joy-Circumstances may happen that may seem grim and God gives you opportunity to find and feel His joy right in the middle...and so on and so on....

Sometimes I would you could just be 'vaccinated' so to speak against things like fear....which is often the stealer of our joy and peace as well as being a contributor to our lack of patience. (If I really felt good (no fear) about the outcome of my situation-I probably wouldn't lose patience with the circumstances) Then we wouldn't have to take so long to learn....

Alas, God must know that this way of doing things wouldn't work as well, or it would be how He would do it. *wink*Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585940674576952988.post-82974326266186542862011-05-19T22:59:18.147-07:002011-05-19T22:59:18.147-07:00You weren't praying for patience were you? :-)...You weren't praying for patience were you? :-) It never fails that when I pray for patience, God doesn't give me more patience. He does, however, give me many more opportunities to practice my patience.
Take care and God Bless,
LindaLindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02449380886670179831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4585940674576952988.post-80078180401906197222011-05-12T13:06:28.862-07:002011-05-12T13:06:28.862-07:00I think we all know what the areas are that erode ...I think we all know what the areas are that erode our peace and joy. It seems to be different for each person. It is frustrating for me to realize how easily I allow something to get under my skin and forfeit God's peace for something just isn't worth it.
